Tenor Sam Smith sings with a number of professional groups in the Bay Area, including the American Bach Choir of American Bach Soloists, Schola Cantorum San Francisco, on whose board of directors he serves as a founding member, the Choir of Men and Boys at Grace Cathedral, and Pacific Collegium. He has sung with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra Chorale, San Francisco Symphony Chorus, Haydn Singers, St. Ann's Chapel Choir, California Bach Society, Stanford University’s Early Music Singers, and San Francisco Renaissance Voices, of which he was founding co-director. Also a violist and active chamber musician, Sam helped found and plays with the Capricollis String Quartet and has performed with Pacific Collegium and Berkeley Baroque Players.
