Andrea Fullington, soprano,
has been singing and making music since age 3. She studied
voice at UC Santa Barbara and earned a Masters in Early
Music Vocal Performance from Indiana University's Early
Music Institute. Andrea settled in the Bay Area in 1993 and
began performing and recording with many different
ensembles specializing in music written before 1750. She
was a founding member of the unique and controversial
ensemble BIMBETTA, which explored the feminine perspective
and the human drama in the secular and theatrical music of
17th century Italy and England. Andrea has appeared as a
soloist at many of the Early Music Festivals in the USA and
Europe and has recorded with Paul Hillier's Theatre of
Voices, Jeffrey Thomas' American Bach Soloists, Warren
Stewart's Magnificat and others. While working with Paul
Hillier, Andrea sang the premier of Steve Reich’s
“Proverb”at Lincoln Center and toured the United States and
Europe with Steve Reich and musicians.
