Ben Johns, baritone, started his performing career as a boy soprano in various children's choirs in his hometown of Sacramento, California. Ben earned three bachelor's degrees at the University of California, Irvine in Dance, in Music, and in Chemistry. After a brief career as a proofreader of biochemical patents, he sang with Chanticleer for three years. Mr. Johns now works in the Chanticleer office as their Education and Outreach Coordinator. When he's not giving workshops to bay area school choirs in this new work capacity, Ben teaches private voice lessons and spends more time at home with his wife, Anne.
